1: If you hire the right person for this job, what do you think will be different at this time next year?”
The answer to this question tells you where the company thinks they want to go and you can build a story about how you have already been there in the past.
2: “Monday morning, 8AM, day #1, what do you think should be the #1 priority of this position?”
The answer to this question tells you what they think is “on fire” and you can build a story about how you have put out a similiar fire in the past.
3: “Mr. X, do you have any concerns about my ability to do this job?”
This is a Yes or No question.
If the answer is “yes” then lets talk about those concerns. Maybe he was distracted, maybe you didn’t do a good job of explaining yourself, maybe you aren’t the right person for the job and that’s OK; nothing personal, just business but lets get those concerns out in the open and talk about them.
If the answer is “no” then your response should be “Great!. This position sounds exactly like what I am looking for. What is the next step.”
